Congresses have been held in Vancouver (2005), Rio de Janeiro(2007), Cernobbio (2009) with the intent that they will continue in different regions of the  world on a 2-yearly cycle and will contribute to national, regional and global relationships between people, institutions and organizations.

The ICCCA has no members, no membership fees or expectations other
than a willingness for collaboration to enhance global cancer control. 
Congresses are supported through registration, host country and regional support, sponsorship and philanthropic contributions. Any resulting surpluses are directed to "start-up" support for the next congress and for support of local projects in the host country/ region. ICCCA has neither facilities nor employees. It conducts its business through volunteer effort and contract support as required. It is our hope that your interest in our site will stimulate  thought and action to enhance population -based cancer control and  promote opportunity for collaborative action and/or relationships. 

Enhancing cancer control is largely about transferring knowledge and  building capacity - activities rooted in the interests, skills and willingness of people to share, collaborate and achieve commonly-held  goals.
